How To Install Inkscape On Ubuntu?

Inkscape is an open source software used for vector image design purposes. This software is similar to Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator. But, Inkscape can be downloaded for free through the official website or can be installed directly via the terminal if you use a Linux distro like Ubuntu or others.

How to install Inkscape on Ubuntu? Open terminal and please add PPA below:

  • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:inkscape.dev/stable

  • sudo apt-get update

  • sudo apt-get install inkscape

Installing inkscape can also use snap by typing the command below:

  • sudo snap install inkscape

For the new Indonesian Linux users, you can install the inkscape file in Ubuntu without using a terminal, the way is by using a .alldeb file that you can directly run and install using the Alldeb Manager. I assume in this case you have installed Alldeb Manager in Ubuntu, and then you need to download the inkscape file with .alldeb format.

Please visit the alldeb.net to create the inkscape package into .alldeb format and download it, and install with Alldeb Manager that can be download on alldeb site. This site uses Indonesian, so for those of you who don't understand Bahasa Indonesia, you can use a site translator like google, so when opened directly speak in accordance with your country. In the next tutorial I will discuss this site! See you in the next article!
